Grounded in Ancestral Wisdom and Synchronized with the Cycles of Nature
About Blood Moon Healing
Blood Moon Healing is a passion and a calling that focuses on creating small batch, ethically sourced herbal formulas that are developed and brewed in sync with the cycles of Nature, the Moon & cosmos.
My practice is grounded in the wisdom of Ancestral Mesoamerican Knowledge Systems, sacred feminine cycles & spirals and the cycles of Nature & the Cosmos, with an herbal foundation in Mexican Traditional Medicine, Evolutionary Herbalism, Holistic Health Principles & the Wise Woman Tradition.
I am deeply committed to uplifting the feminine & reclaiming feminine knowing, ancestral rituals, practices, rites of passage & blood offerings. Therefore I am just as passionate about giving the utmost respect to Tonantzin Tlalli Mother Earth and all her beings and thus strive to be as sustainable, ethical, and respectful as possible with every formula I develop.
About Ixpahuatzin (Clarissa) Mazehuani
Clarissa Ixpahuatzin Gonzalez (she/her/hers) has been working in mental & holistic health, youth development, leadership development and community organizing for the last 15 years. She is a child of immigrants and is passionate about centering indigenous knowledge, sacred feminine rites & synchronizing with the cycles of nature.
She is a certified master herbalist (note: there are no industry norms for certifications though so dont be convinced by titles alone) specializing in fertility, womb health, sleep & mental health at Blood Moon Healing, where she is continuing the lineage of Traditional Mexican Medicine inherited from her grandmother & where she lifts up ethical, spiritual herbalism & learning from our herbal relatives.
She is also the cofounder of Machtia Toltekatl , a community-driven institute dedicated to teaching Mesoamerican ancestral disciplines, arts, sciences & philosophy with her partner
When she is not working at Blood Moon Healing or Machtia Toltekatl, Ixpahuatzin is holding dark moon circles, herbalism study groups, organizing in her community and raising her 2 year old with her duality.
