Hibernation Medicine Workshop
Winter just got real and we are officially deep in the throes of the cold. The air and our tissues are dry, the ground is frozen, the days are short, the blood is thick and slow moving, and maybe our bodies & minds are too.
The good news?
We were made for this! We’ve got medicine for this! And we’ve got herbal allies for this.
In just 2 weeks, we will gather at the intersection of Ayurvedic medicine and Toltekatl wisdom, to connect the ancestral theories and protocols that can help us navigate through the tough stuff of winter.
This is “Hibernation Medicine”, a 2 hour virtual workshop on winter nourishment and medicines with @bloodmoonhealing and @ayurvedicelements.
In this collaborative workshop we will learn holistic ways:
-to use food, herbs, and rituals to amplify winter digestion
-to care for the womb and inner organ organ health
-to gently care for and cleanse the 7 gates of the head
-to practice mental & emotional movement & balancing
-to stoke the internal fires and keep the hearth alive throughout winter
-to use breathwork and mood boosting herbs that can help us move through S.A.D.
We are coming up on the very midpoint of Winter aka the end of the year according to both the Ayurveda and Toltekatl perspectives, and both bodies of medicine give us a wide range of tools to anchor ourselves in gratitude and reflection for the lessons and cycles that are coming to a close. Join us as we flesh out best practices for this time of year, and give in to the medicine of the season. The deep internal and external work we do now is the preventative medicine for the seasons to come. Let's close out this cycle and level up for the next one by weaving a web of resilience and alignment guided by the brilliance of our ancestral ways.
