Beginners Tonalpohualli Course
centering a Zihuatl /womb-bearers' lens
We are so grateful to cross paths with you as we dive into the journey of recentering the ancestral Toltekatl knowledge that played such a crucial role in ancestral Toltekatl heritage societies across MesoAmerica.
We will be taking a Nahuatlaca, Mixteco & Womb Centered approach in this course.
WHAT TO EXPECT:
We will meet every Sunday from 10am-12pm PDT / 12-2pm CDT
This course usually lasts 15 months depending on the needs of the cohort.
Classes will be live online via Zoom
Recordings will be available for 2 weeks after each class and shared in the private online course group in the Machtia Toltekatl online network

This course is designed to introduce one of the foundations of the Cauhpohualli & Tonalpohualli: the 20 Potentials & their Guiding Essences. We will also be taking a womb-centered lens throughout this course to center conversations around how the calendar was designed for and by womb bearers. This course will be taught by Ixpahuatzin
LENGTH OF COURSE:
Because it usually takes a whole class to cover each potential or guiding essence, and we will including cohort discussions & review sessions, the course generally takes about 15 months. We will be checking in on our progress after each quarter of the course and collectively determining if we want to make any adjustments to the pace of the course. Payments will be adjusted accordingly.

LIVE CLASSES & RECORDINGS:
The course will take place live online via zoom in synchronous sessions. Classes will be recorded and recordings will be shared every Monday. Recordings will ONLY be available for 2 WEEKS after each class to encourage active participation. RECIPROCITY: Classes are offered at a sliding scale monthly tuition between $39-52. Payment is collected via Square unless alternative arrangements are made. ** How does sliding scale work? The payments are monthly payments you will pay each month that the class is live. You are invited to choose which amount works best for your budget in the range between 39-52 (note there is a higher option of 75 because someone requested it). We invite you to be honest of not only what is convenient but also what you would like to truly offer in sacred reciprocity for the knowledge and labor.
